Networknet.nl: 1 million visits since 17 January 2008

When I started my personal blog, I could never have imagined it reaching 1,000,000 visitors. Last week, it did. Over the years, Networknet.nl has become more popular and appears as the first result for many searches.

This has helped bring more traffic and visits. I am happy to see your comments, more people returning to the blog and links to my posts.

There is one thing I want to say:

Thank you!

Over the last two years, I have not posted as much as I would like. I prefer quality over quantity. In the last 12 months, I have made significant changes to the layout, banner and post styling, including a new theme. I also reread most of the posts, corrected grammar, reviewed the technical content and added new style elements. I removed most advertising banners, leaving one in the site’s subareas.

I am working to balance personal, family and work life. A good system for keeping track of ideas, activities, projects and objectives is becoming essential. I am reading Take Back Your Life! from Microsoft Press to help manage this. One important activity is reserving time to look back at the previous week and write down what happened to share with you.

I enjoy writing the blog, and it also serves as my own reference. I return to posts to remember how I did something and follow the steps I documented.

Cheers,

-Ivan
