Recovery could only locate logfiles up to 681.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"messageBox error icon\"><span>Event Type: Error <br \/>Event Source: ESENT <br \/>Event Category: (3) <br \/>Event ID: 454 <br \/>Date: 2\/11\/2009 <br \/>Time: VM1 <br \/>User: N\/A <br \/>Computer: IVAN-VM-01 <br \/>Description: wuauclt (3460) Database recovery\/restore failed with unexpected error -543.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.networknet.nl\/apps\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/WindowsXPAutomaticUpdates_845C\/clip_image002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"clip_image002\" src=\"https:\/\/www.networknet.nl\/apps\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/WindowsXPAutomaticUpdates_845C\/clip_image002_thumb.jpg\" alt=\"clip_image002\" width=\"500\" height=\"180\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The client did not receive any Security Updates since those eventsstarted. For whatever reason the <strong>SoftwareDistribution<\/strong> database used by &#8220;Automatic Updates&#8221; service become corrupted. To fix this problem:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul class=\"icon-list \" style=\"margin-left: 10px;\">\n<li><div class=\"icon16 iconMedia play\"><\/div>Go to Services.msc and stop &#8220;Automatic Updates&#8221; service<\/li>\n<li><div class=\"icon16 iconMedia play\"><\/div>Go to C:\\Windows and rename\/delete folder C:\\WINDOWS\\SoftwareDistribution\\<\/li>\n<li><div class=\"icon16 iconMedia play\"><\/div>Start &#8220;Automatic Updates&#8221; service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n<p>Immediately after &#8220;Automatic Updates&#8221; service was started my client download the patches from the WSUS server.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When reviewing my Windows XP client eventlogs I encountered the following two error messages: The client did not receive any Security Updates since those eventsstarted.
