Now I could work on my projects locally and offline without manual installation every time.<\/p>\n<p>For each project I could load my a virtual machine and work when needed to develop, later on push my development work to the production website.<\/p>\n<h3>How to enable SSH server on Bitnami?<\/h3>\n<p>I was struggling for a bit enabling SSH server on the Bitnami appliance. I like the remote shell and prefer ssh session rather then a console one from VMWare.<\/p>\n<p>To enable SSH I needed to read the <a href=\"https:\/\/bitnami.com\/faq\/virtual_machines\">https:\/\/bitnami.com\/faq\/virtual_machines<\/a> FAQ page.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush:text\">$ sudo mv \/etc\/init\/ssh.conf.back \/etc\/init\/ssh.conf\r\n$ sudo start ssh<\/pre>\n<p>As CMS Made Simple Bitnami uses Ubuntu Linux version. Commands above were required to enable SSH server.<\/p>\n<h3>How to enable Phpmyadmin on Ubuntu Bitnami?<\/h3>\n<p>Although everything was documented the file was not found on Bitnami appliance. I needed to edit the httpd-app.conf to get it running.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush:text\">nano \/opt\/bitnami\/apps\/phpmyadmin\/conf\/httpd-app.conf\r\nAllow from all\r\nRequire all granted<\/pre>\n<p>Restart apache server<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush:text\">cd \/opt\/bitnami\/\r\nsudo .\/ctlscript.sh restart apache<\/pre>\n<p>Username and password: <strong>root<\/strong>\/<strong>bitnami<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.networknet.nl\/apps\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/clip_image011.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"clip_image011\" alt=\"clip_image011\" src=\"https:\/\/www.networknet.nl\/apps\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/clip_image011_thumb.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"264\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to access CMS Made Simple Admin?<\/h3>\n<p>Last but not least I wanted to enter the Admin area of CMSMadeSimple installation.<\/p>\n<p>The admin username is called <strong>user<\/strong> and password <strong>bitnami<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.networknet.nl\/apps\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/clip_image012.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: inline;\" title=\"clip_image012\" alt=\"clip_image012\" src=\"https:\/\/www.networknet.nl\/apps\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/clip_image012_thumb.png\" width=\"644\" height=\"409\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Whenever I need a new CMS Made Simple website, I will unzip the VM image file and start from scratch. This VM could be loaded on a server and being hosted there.
